In the Jinrah universe there is a blanket field of latent magical energy that can be tapped into by the various creatures that inhabit existence. This magical field is not consistent in strength, and can vary from nearly non-existent, to an overpowering aura capable of incapacitating even the most powerful sorcerers.
The harvesting and use of latent magic is one of the most powerful skills in Aradrihl, and is necessary for the use of nearly any magic.
Latent magic is calculated randomly in most areas of the open world by a roll of 2d20 +15, but in a dungeon, it is up to the discretion of the GM to assign latent magic points to the area. One of the latent magic points for any area is consumed for every magic point gathered by a caster, and a a magic point is restored at a rate of 1d4-1d10 +2 (at the GM’s discrection) magic points per hour.
